Our flights were really convenient, flying from Gatwick into the main airport - which is just a short train ride away from the centre of Barcelona.

The flight itself is just over 2 hours - which is made easier by the fact they now serve Starbucks coffee and muffins on the plane!

We’d already had a late brunch at the airport to set us up for the journey (as you have to pay for everything on Easyjet) so we just shared the one muffin.

We paid extra for one checked in bag each, but we didn’t bother with early access to the plane.  We were actually the last people on the plane coming back - my fault - and we couldn’t find seats together, but a very nice lady offered us her seat so we sat together anyway.

We also made our flights carbon neutral for £2.60 each - bargain.

We found our flights on Kayak.com which is a fantastic website that lets you easily compare the costs of lots of different flights - quite a discovery I can tell you!!
