Porchester Spa
Porchester Spa, London
It’s just not that nice.
Maybe it was the bug in the otherwise empty plunge pool, maybe it was the sound and smell of the baths next door, maybe it was the generally run down feel, maybe it was the ladies eating oranges in the steam room and shouting at the top of their voices, maybe it was standing in the rain shower under a trickle for ten minutes before realising it was broken.
Whatever it was, it didn’t feel like a treat coming here and it’s not somewhere I’d go back to.
In fact the worst thing about this place is that it put me off trying Spa London for so long, which is in a different class! I highly recommend that you give this one a miss and head for the East End!
Don’t get me wrong, some of these are excellent, but I couldn’t, in good conscience give them a Pearl Recommendation. Sometimes they were just beaten to the punch, or I couldn’t decide a clear winner, other times they had a lot right, but I felt they just weren’t there. I don’t really want to give bad reviews, but anything I felt was really best avoided you’ll find in the Jellyfish section.
