The Sight - Tuscany
The Sight - Tuscany
If you want to see a thing in Chianciano Terme then pretty much the only thing to see is the clock tower. It’s quite charming and it is lovely to sit and enjoy a coffee beneath it, but the real sight here is all around you.
The Tuscan countryside is familiar, romantic, almost a cliché, but whether I was looking at the rambling olive trees or the rows of tall pines I never grew tired of it.
The pictures here give an idea of how blue the sky is, but to really experience the winding paths and quiet beauty of this tiny little Tuscan town you’re just going to have to go there.
In Chianciano Terme the old town sits a good half an hour walk from the Grande Hotel Milano and once you make it there you can enjoy the tiny winding roads, the fountain in the piazza, and the view over the famous red roofs.
On the upside it’s very hard to get lost in Chianciano Terme - despite completely losing all mobile phone reception Orla and I still managed to find each other underneath the clock tower - well, it was clearly coffee time.
