This is very similar to the Healing A Relationship Meditation.
Close your eyes, and breathe in gently through your nose, filling up your lungs, and then exhale through your mouth, expelling all the breath in your body. Take a few deep breaths and then continue, more gently, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Focus on your breath, letting go of other thoughts.
Imagine a beautiful world, seen at a distance.
On your out breath send your love out around the world, to everyone and everything. Feel how your love can reach effortlessly around the whole world. Feel your heart being at peace as you let go of the love you hold inside and share it with the world.
On your in breath breathe in love from the whole world. Feel the beautiful energy coming effortlessly to you, as you accept all the love that everyone in the world wants to give you.
Continue to breathe in and out, sharing your love, accepting love from the world for as long as you choose.
I think that I may have actually developed this one for myself, although I am sure there are many variations, and I may have read it somewhere. It’s based on my belief that as much as we feel we may need to be loved, our real deeper need is to give love. This meditation gives me great peace. It can also be used on a smaller scale, if you want to spend time just sharing and receiving love from your family, or your work colleagues, your friends, or from your fellow passenger on a journey.
