If in doubt I always buy souvenirs from charities; if you get overcharged it's just more for the charity.
The gift shop/café at Caladesi has some great finds; cute T-shirts, caps, anything you may have forgotten, a dolphin mug so I didn't have to keep using hotels' paper cups and by far the best; my huge, cuddly manatee beach towel which came in handy for me over the next few days. (A snip at $20 – when the small beach towels at the Peabody Orlando were $72!!!)
