The most common type of crystal steam room I have seen is amethyst, but I have also visited steam rooms with unexplained hunks of crystal in the middle and am often unsure whether these are real crystals, therapeutic crystals or just decorative.
If you're into crystal therapy it is often worth double-checking before visiting a spa if you're expecting a lot from a crystal steam room.
See also Amethyst Steam Room.
