I'd like to demystify the names of different spas, and this, thankfully is a fairly easy one. A mineral spa usually refers to a spa that uses local mineral spring waters in its treatments, usually in wonderful pools, hydrotherapy jets and showers.
A slight twist on this may be also using local mud that's been absorbing those lovely minerals (Fangotherapy).
I've felt the greatest immediate effect from the waters at Thermae Bath Spa.
I'd also recommend Salon Sensoriale in the Terme di Chianciano Spa.
